How do I get on to my local events? Print
FAQs

A good way to start is by obtaining an events guide-book, which lists the vast majority of the shows that take place in any one year. They normally give approximate attendance figures plus contract numbers to arrange pitching on the event. Be mindful of the attendance figures given.

An event with 20,000 people attending may have 12 catering units and cost £500 to trade, after which you may still make a reasonable profit. Much more favorable would be an event with 20,000 people where you are the sole caterer, giving you a much higher attendance to caterer ratio. Once you are on these single caterer events, provided you cater better quality food and are cooperative. You will normally be invited to attend the event following time. You can also check with your local council if there are any events in your area in the coming year.
